Raíces Quebradas is a narrative short film written and directed by Marly Cáceres Uncacia within the framework of Narrar la Verdad, an initiative connected to the Colombian Truth Commission and the Cartagena International Film Festival.
Set within an Indigenous territory, the film follows a young man whose personal journey is shaped by memory, loss and the rupture of belonging. Through intimate encounters and a close relationship with the landscape, the story explores how conflict can fracture identity, family ties and the connection to one’s roots.
